Creating Art, One Bead at a Time
Share
I am consumed with beading and making bracelets. I still love my sterling pieces that I sell, but I never knew how relaxing it was to sit down with a tray of beads and just create different variations using the same materials. I never had the patience enough until now. Although I believe now I need bifocals at this point, I still find myself totally relaxed and at peace when I am stringing beads. I have made so many pieces that have become favorites, and feel a little heartbroken each time I have to ship one out. I want my pieces to stay unique, but at the same time, I have found myself writing down the bead "recipe" just in case I want to recreate it one day.
With everything that I do, and as much joy as I have for attempting to create literally anything before I buy it, I think beading is my favorite so far. It's less time consuming than crochet, I gave up on cross stitching, and I get tired of graphic design. Within a few hours, I can have finished pieces done and ready to go, and I feel accomplished. I can do it all while watching TV. It makes me happy. I just hope it makes my customers just as happy. These pieces are truly handmade with all the love.
